ISLAMABAD- Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan have recently pledged to strengthen Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) enforcement and bilateral cooperation. In a meeting between Chairperson IPO-Pakistan, Farukh Amil, and Kyrgyzstan’s Ambassador, Ulanbek Totuiaev, held in Islamabad, both parties emphasized the importance of robust enforcement for fostering innovation and economic growth.

Ambassador Totuiaev proposed establishing Intellectual Property offices in key regions like Gilgit-Baltistan and Sialkot, highlighting the potential benefits for economic development and innovation in these areas. Additionally, the parties discussed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IPO-Pakistan and the Patent Office of Kyrgyzstan to formalize their commitment to collaboration and the exchange of best practices in IPR enforcement.
