TRIPOLI – The Libyan Trademark Office has announced that it will begin accepting new trademark applications starting September 2, 2024.
Among the new requirements, applicants must submit a legalized Power of Attorney and a company registration document along with their trademark application. Both documents need to be original and must be legalized by the Libyan Consulate in the applicant’s home country.
For applications claiming priority, the late filing of the required documents is permissible, provided that the legalized documents are submitted within 40 days from the date of the application.
