Bahrain Reduced Patent and Utility Model Fees for Individual Applicants

Bahrain has taken proactive steps to potentially boost individual patent applications by reducing fees for specific patent-related services. Decision No. 67 of 2023, implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, focuses on lowering charges associated with filing, examining, publishing, and granting patents for individual applicants.

It’s worth noting that, under the current directive, these fee changes only apply to the mentioned processes. Fees for annuities and related services remain unchanged. This adjusted fee structure became effective on September 22, 2023.

This move by Bahrain demonstrates a dedication to creating a more accessible and cost-effective environment for individual innovators and patent holders.
